Relieve Stress and Relax with Gentle Movement
with Morgann Rose, personal trainer and certified GYROTONIC® instructor
Soothe your body and your spirit with the gentle, rhythmic movement practice of Gyrokinesis®. Morgann performed as a professional ballerina for 20 years and discovered movement therapy while battling injuries during her career. The Gyrokinesis method she will introduce you to is a movement-based therapy that helps with stress relief, loosening tight muscles, encouraging good posture, and injury rehabilitation. In this session, you’ll be led through a slow-paced series of functional movements based on the principles of yoga and dance. You’ll end the session feeling tranquil and refreshed. No equipment is necessary, but you’ll want to wear comfortable clothes that you can stretch in. This a low-impact practice that is suitable for most people, but please be cautious and aware of your body and any limitations.
Learn How to Eat, Drink, and Be Merry, Happy, and Healthy This Holiday Season
with Doctor of Ayurveda Ranjana Chawla, Ay.D., C.A.S.
Many of us spend the holidays eating, drinking, and being merry. Food plays a huge role in our holiday traditions, but rich holiday dishes, lack of fiber, large portions, and holiday stress are all triggers for a churning digestive system. Why not enter the holiday season with a plan to honor your body and your mind? In this session, you’ll learn:
What you can do to prevent digestive problems, especially if you have pre-existing conditions such as gas, bloating, acid reflux, IBS, heartburn, ulcers, or liver or gallbladder issues
How Ayurvedic practices can restore your body, mind, and spirit to ultimate health, especially in stressful and festive times
How your diet and digestion really impact your overall health and how you can have a great holiday season while still honoring your body
Plan to walk away with concrete steps on how to enjoy the holidays to the fullest by making smart decisions to manage both stress and digestive upsets.
